Leo Sowerby: The Paul Whiteman Commissions & Other Early Works (Cedille Records, 2021)

One of my last projects before shutdown, I enjoyed working with Andy Baker, Jim Ginsburg (Cedille Records), and Francis Crociata (Leo Sowerby Foundation) on this archival world-premiere recording of Sowerby’s “Synconata” and “Symphony for Jazz Orchestra, ‘Monotony’” nearly a century after being commissioned by Paul Whiteman. I worked as violinist/concertmaster and string contractor on this project.
